Todays sons school has been shut as it's being used as a polling station.
I decided to take both kids (5 and 2) swimming to the big one (most expensive one!) as it was open all day and has fun things like slides and fountains rather than a nearer one which was only open certain times.
Was really pleased when I wasn't charged as much as expected. The reason they have 2 pricing structures one for term-time the other (more expensive) prices are charged in holiday time and weekends.
Of course not all schools in the borough are shut today so I got charged the cheaper term time price. Worked out same as if I'd gone to other one.
Will remember that in future for the teacher training days.
There is also a ball-pool, soft-play area that though it charges the same price, during term-time it includes a free drink. Will try that next see if that also works in my favour

It's also a lot quieter!
If you check neighbouring counties, sometimes their kids get different school holidays to yours. If you go to attractions when the other counties schools are open, you get the cheaper prices too. Here I go again on my own....0
