Career development loan v student bank account

Iwonder if anyone can suggest the correct procedure for making sure my daughter is able to get the best financial deal. From September she will be in a private college on a 2 year ful time course not through UCAS so doesn't get any student loan funding. She has been told when she is 18 (Oct)she can apply for career development loan. In the mean time, parents pay the fees. If she does do that at 18, does it mean that she would be unable to get a student bank account with, say Lloyds, now. Her current banking arrangements are that she already has a current account with Lloyds which is well in credit and always has been. I don't know how to advise. Help

What is the course? If it's not through UCAS then there's a higher chance she won't qualify for a student bank account as it won't be the right type of Higher Education course. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

The course is DCE (Diploma in Childcare & Education) (old NNEB course). We have touted the banks and have managed to get student bank account sorted - primarily because mum and dad bank there and the branch were ultimately able to exercise discretion so that's a start. Thanks for your help0
