Fruit Trees

I managed to buy one of the £5 apple trees that Asda was selling a couple of weeks ago (to replace one of my Garden Bargains ones from last year)

After much humming and harring I decided to buy a couple of other fruit trees. Unfortunately I dithered so much that when I went back they had all sold out.

Can anyone remember when the likes of Morrisons, Adi or Lidl normally get theirs in.

BTW I have previously bought fruit trees for my previous house from Morrisons and they were fruiting well when we moved.

Asda will probably get more in, i wanted a Pear but they never had any in my Asda but a few weeks later they'd restocked. I have had things from the other places but can't remember any dates, i've found Morrisons good if they've got what you want.

Aldi sometimes start late Jan, but first week of Feb is more usual. Lidl are generally later.

Keepers, not far from me, are good, as is Blackmoor. Pricier, but quality.

I have, however, bought and had success with Aldi trees as well. So long as you are picky, and look them over well. I haven't always ended up with the tree I expected, though ;) . Poor labelling!

A second for Blackmoor, but you will not find a tree for fiver, it will however be correctly labelled and grafted on the right rootstock
