EA pushing low offer- playing games?

We have had an offer of £160k on our house (which is on the market at £164k which is a good price for this house in this area). The agents all know you're looking already, but make sure you update them by specifically calling in or at least phoning to tell them that you are now Under Offer and proceedable.

You may well have to compromise on something but believe me when i tell you that even if your budget is a million quid, there will still always be a compromise!

BTW when we bought our most recent house we stretched our budget so far even I didn't know where the money was going to come from, let alone setting it all out on paper for some jumped-up, pinstriped, mini-driving agent! We did it by the skin of our teeth but I still don't know how lol
