dash cam camera

Hi All,

Does anyone has any recommendation on a dash cam ?

I am not looking for something very expensive but something that works and is reliable for insurance purposes.

I need one for my car and one for my bike.

Avoid any like the link in post number 2. Says night vision... Infra-red LEDs that are useless in a car camera.

They have a short range and will reflect off the screen and render the video useless.

The techmoan reviews are good. I bought mine after watching his review on it. I have the front/rear one that he tested a couple of years back.
better options out there now though.

Well Mr Techmoan clearly disagrees with you describing that camera as "the best performing dash-cam currently available for £32/$55".

Thats not night vision. Night vision is infra-red leds or similar that allow you to see in the dark.

From that clip it shows that outside the vehicle or street lighting it's black.

Not all G1W's are equal...

The problem is 20 different companies may sell what appears to be the same item but the quality and specs can vary.

It happened to some of teh camera's reviewed. People bought them from the same supplier but people got different versions.
