Best place to sell unwanted clothes, gifts etc

I have quite a few evening dresses, scarves and unwanted household items that I would like to sell.
I know of various sites Preloved, eBay, local FB sales pages etc but as I've never sold anything before wasn't sure which of them (or others) are the most likely to be successful, make the most money or are the simplest/cheapest to use.
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Ebay is the easiest and the most chance of selling. However, it also will be the most expensive and most likely to have problems with. If you honestly list things, mention any kind of problem or defect and send everything by tracked mail you should be alright. If you do a quick search on Ebay for the item then you can see what kind of price you can expect.
Personally Ebay I think is the easiest and most straightforward. You list the item, you sell the item, you post the item, you pay the Ebay fees. You collect your money via PayPal.0
