This is what I just sent London energy. Do you think they will take the hint?

Dear Sir
I have retained proof of posting of this letter.

As you seem unable to hear very well, then clearly phoning you is ineffective and I have, this time, written it down.
On the 30th of January I arranged to switch my electricity and gas supply to you. On the 31st I cancelled this transfer.
I received a letter from you on the 2nd Feb and took the precaution of phoning and cancelling again. You wrote again on the 16th of Feb, and again I phoned and confirmed I had cancelled.
On the 28th of Apr I heard from Powergen (my new supplier) that I had left them for you. I phoned Powergen and had this blocked. I again phoned you and tried to clear this up. As I had blocked the transfer you seemed to think that was ok. Well I do not. I think it is appalling that you rely on customers spotting your tricks to control their cancellations. Your customer services are poor, your organization is a joke and your morals non existent.

In case you missed it. I DO NOT HAVE A CONTRACT WITH YOU, NOR WILL I EVER.
Yours in disgust.

I recently applied to London Energy after following the tips from this site. Are you saying they are not to be trusted? What problems have you had, other than them being deaf?
Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.

I was with SWEB (owned by EDF) and wanted to go on their online tarif, but they don't allow existing customers to do this. So I swapped to london energy (also EDF so technically the same company) but then discovered they don't do an economy 7 tarif online. I cancelled twice in the cooling off period and several other times since. When I phone they have no record of the calls (surprize).
I had reasonable service from SWEB and all EDF companies are the same. I also had a straight forward (if slow) swap from SWEB to Powergen. Its just that no one seems to do anything to switch you away from their companies unless its completely automated, and there is no system for cancelling in the cooling off period.

If you are not E7 then switch to them if they are the cheapest. Its about saving money when you reach the bottom line.
    Regards

Well the address was a freepost one so it cost nothing to have a go. You're right though, almost certainly a waste of time. Ho hum.
