postage and packing for Cork, Ireland

I have just sold a book on ebay and postage and packing was £2.50 for UK. However, when i have gone to post it as it is Cork, Southern Ireland it will cost £3.80 as this differs fromEngland and Northern Ireland. Do i post it, which will mean a big loss to me as the book was only 99p! or do I contact buyer and tell them the postage and packing was for England only and ask them to pay the difference.

I will bear this in mind in the future for any other items I sell that p and p is only for England.
Just about to give up!

Do you mean England only or Britain only or the UK?

Cork is in the Republic of Ireland and unless you listed to post outside of the UK, the person buying the book will have had to log into the .co.uk site rather than the .ie site.

Contact the buyer and ask for more money or refund them.

Really depends how your postage and packing options were set in the auction. You have also discussed it with buyer and have received payment. You should have known it would cost more to send to the Republic.

I think you should really send, learn a lesson on listing carefully and set your P+P options more carefully next time. Bit late to be haggling over the price.

.........since Northern Ireland and Eire are two totally seperate countries...and one of them uses a different currency...how did you ever think that??

Just contact your buyer and make them aware you said UK only in your sale terms......but let them know if you'd send to them...and tell them the extra cost.
if i had known then what i know now
