Decathlon's Red Triban 3 is reputedly the best budget road bike produced. It features a carbon fork and when it sold for £299.99 Cycling weekly said:
"At a sneeze shy of £300, it comes with a mainly Shimano 2300 STI set-up (no budget bike favourite down-tube levers or crazy butterfly shifters here), all built onto a fine-looking alloy frame, and even features a carbon fork. In the value-for-money stakes alone, it is by far the most impressive machine we have ever tested."

It's been out of stock for a long time but is now back on sale even cheaper at £199.99. That has to be the best value there's ever been for a brand new entry level road bike. Only 51cm frame available (suit up to 5'9" ish?) and probably only a few bikes - but it did let me order 9 on a test order so there are some available. I tried to buy one of these last week second-hand before I saw this deal and the price was £220!!! for anyone who wants to try road cycling wiothout breaking the bank this is a steal of a deal.

I'd probably buy this if it had flat bars, but why on their website does it have "free delivery " flashed on some bikes when on the whole site, any order over £75 is free ?0

nearly bought one at 299. decent bike for 199 - and those of us who ride a lot - or want to - never really get the time. so why pay more..........
