Well a Santander 123 current account does all that and pays 3% AER. After 5 months (or sooner) you might want to get 4% AER on £5k in a Club Lloyds. Look at TSB (5% £2k), Nationwide (5%, £2.5k), BOS (3%, 3 x £5k), Tesco (£5, £3k).
These all pay more than normal savings accounts. Read the T&Cs carefully for necessary conditions to get the interest and avoid fees. See relevant threads here on on Banking board.

Look also at Regular Savers such as FD (6%). http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=608697

good respsonse from Eco Miser. on the face of it, the best 'Savings Account' is a Current Account:)...so you do need to manage it to ensure that you qualify for the interest and cashback, perhaps even making it your main current account.
