Best saving account around?

Need a best interest saving account with opening balance of 15k and can put atleast £1000 in the account each month and preferably if come with card or online banking is handy.

Please share your advice and experience.

    Well a Santander 123 current account does all that and pays 3% AER. After 5 months (or sooner) you might want to get 4% AER on £5k in a Club Lloyds. Look at TSB (5% £2k), Nationwide (5%, £2.5k), BOS (3%, 3 x £5k), Tesco (£5, £3k).
    These all pay more than normal savings accounts. Read the T&Cs carefully for necessary conditions to get the interest and avoid fees. See relevant threads here on on Banking board.

    Look also at Regular Savers such as FD (6%).

    good respsonse from Eco Miser. on the face of it, the best 'Savings Account' is a Current Account:) you do need to manage it to ensure that you qualify for the interest and cashback, perhaps even making it your main current account.
