I have and use one similar to this. One socket for dashcam t'other for Tom Tom when it's used. Also has 5v u.s.b. outputs too.
Fortunately there is a convenient cup holder which is very close to the accessory outlet in my car.
The unit is a bit smaller than the cup holder so I wrapped it in some dark grey foam to stop it moving about and rattling!

Its the Tomtom high speed charger that I was thinking of, twin USB plus repeat power socket.
