Buying shares as a one off

Hi how can i buy £1000 worth of shares in one company as a one off, keep for a while investment, do I have to have an account?

    I did this a few weeks ago. Opened an account at youinvest.com , downloaded an app onto my hudl and bought some shares.

    Got to mention/ask this. Do you have other investments etc? If not are you aware of the risks of buying one share? Even a company like Tesco is down about 60% and smaller ones could go bust completely.

    One of the cheapest execution-only brokers you need would be x-o. Google them.

    Yep! The shares I bought were tesco and they've dipped over 10 per cent in two weeks!
