i got my first degree 8 years ago - 4 yr course -
i now would like to apply for a social work degree. for this you get an nhs bursury of about 4k which can be used for fees or living expenses.
my research has also shown that a social work degree as a 2nd degree will still enable me to be eligible for a maintainance loan.
can any one help me before i ring up so it looks like i know a bit about what i can apply for?

Hi - you need to apply to the Student Finance Service (SFS) for the maintenance loan, and also apply to the NHS (I think - it used to be the General Social care Council) for the bursary. You need to include your 'final financial notification' letter from the SFS, with your bursary application, but if you've left it late, just apply for both, and forward the 'final financial notification' letter on. Hope this makes sense!0
