"Notice of Correction" on the credit report

Does notice of correction on a credit report drop off as soon as a lender rectifies it's mistake?
Experian said that while N-O-C is on, it slows lending decisions but that isn't going to an issue, I just wonder if it will cancel of automatically once resolved or when the alleged update happens by the lender
Thanks

Hi there
I believe the responsibility is on you alone to edit/remove any Notice of Correction that you put on your file.

Hi, a notice of correction would stay on an entry until the credit reference agency receives a request to remove it.
An exception to this would be if the entry the notice of correction is attached to is deleted or removed from a report, then the notice of correction would also come off.
So for example if a notice of correction was attached to a default, and the company amended the default the notice of correction would stay on.
If the notice was attached to a default, and the default was removed from the report as it was over six years old, then the notice of correction would come off with it.
If you are not sure then the best thing to do would be to contact the credit reference agency to ask they remove it.
Hope this helps!
