Electoral register

During the last election I never returned the form for voting so I dropped off the register. 4 weeks ago I re-registered and told I would be back on the register from 01/10/14.
I've contacted them and this is confirmed, I am present on the register in my current.
My credit file says I am not, why is this...?

Councils tend to send updates to the CRAs once a year. Find out when yours does.0

I had the same issue, I contacted the council who advised they only send updated list on 1st December and experian said to wait 6-8 weeks after they receive information from the council. Obviously could be slightly different in your area but its obviously not instant.
I received an email letter verifying that I was on the electoral roll and they said I should use that letter in the meantime if I needed to show I was registered.0
