I did see a crock pot at half price in the supermarket!
I have craft books as well as a Pinterest habit .... lots of ideas just not the skills / time to practice.
Will have to work on some lists. I think the first couple of weeks will be just settling in and getting into a work routine and learning my new job but after that I need a proper plan. Don't want to overwhelm myself right from the start.
I am shy on here and in real life! Was amazed that they offered me the job as I was so nervous in my interview. Will have to get brave to face the staff room!0 -

Once you have had a quick read of a thread you can usually gauge the tone and tell whether it is for you or not. I have always felt welcome on a variety of boards on here and in general people are lovely. The best way to get to know people is to pop in and postTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
on some threads, yes, it does seem that everyone knows each other, but, newbies get a warm welcome. on most threads however, strangers just get 'treated' like friends. honestly, don't be shy, post on a thread - or start one, everyone here is eager to help and advise.0

More time - less money.
My experience of this -
Time to check my supermarket.com and get to know the price of everything everywhere. My weekly shop comes from around 5 or 6 different places from Asda to Aldi etc. If I can save £1 on 1 item imagine how many items I buy each week. Having the time to research prices and then to visit different stores almost makes me a wage which I am not taxed onAlso time to search out and print coupons from the coupon thread thus gaining many free or cheap items of food.
Time to walk more saving motoring costs.
Time to shop around for insurance deals etc whether it be car, home, broadband deals etc. Always go through a cashback site like Topcashback or Quidco.
Time to make meals from scratch which may not always be cheaper but is healthier.
Time to do own nails etc.
Will think some more and update my post if I think of any more. HthCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
I am a month in now and it is starting to feel a bit more normal now!
Getting the hang of my new routine and have started actually planning my shopping list and starting to plan meals rather than just wandering and buying lots! Plus I am trying to build up a little stock of food for those lazy nights!0 -
Glad everything is going well for youNot dim
