Red light offence

I stupidly went over the stop line on a red light. This was just after 5am so roads were very quiet.
I'm not familiar with the junction so looking for road signs ignored (wasn't paying attention?) first set and stopped at second. I think it was a pedestrian crossing which would explain double red lights at a junction?
There was definitely a flash but I'm not sure if it wasn't the driver behind me warning me.
My question is is there anyone I can ring to find out if I can expect a letter in the post? Can I ring my local police force to ask?
I'm such a worrier that I'd rather know if possible so I don't worry about it for the next fortnight.
Can anyone help me please?

Best to just wait it out ... if it's real you'll get the notification through the post. (Assuming that you're the registered keeper of the car).
I'm not sure there's anyone you can talk to about this ... the local police likely won't have anything to do with such traffic management measures.
Edit: Ooh - didn't know about that site DTUR.But does that also include red light and box junction cameras? (The site only mentions speed cameras).
Suckered!:rotfl:

So either you call the local police and advise them you drove through a red light and wonder if they caught you or not - answer doesnt matter as they now have you confessing to the crime.
Alternatively you wait a few weeks and see if a letter appears in the post. Obviously helps if you have the correct address on the V5c for your car0 -
Does the light you "ran" have a camera? - google might tell you?
[STRIKE]I would also take that site with a pinch of salt, I have not left Scotland since December last year, have never driven below Manchester, but have a speeding offence in London on there....[/STRIKE]0 -

go back and view the picture of the alleged offence that should confirm if it is your car or a ringer0 -
