I would go to tescos and get a couple of their everyday pasta shapes make a few dishes of these and some of your chicken also their cheap garlic baguettes 35p,a bag of spuds and some eggs, you could use your fish and have fish and chips, eggs and chips, i know not very nutritional but hey its only for a while, get a loaf or buy flour and make your own also get some bananas and some milk good luck xxxC.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinater

If you can go to Farmfoods or lidl, aldi, get a big bag of potatoes, any cheap veg you can fresh or frozen & a pack of lentils, cheap basics pasta.
you can have jacket pots, with beans,
Pasta bakes
Home made fish cakes & chips
veg curry
spanish omelette
Cottage pie & bulk out the mince with lentils & grated carrot & or mixed veg.
Porridge oats are cheap & good for breakfast, a bowl of porridge will keep you going all morning.
Can you go shopping at the end of the day when bread may be reduced?
Do you have children is school? If so can they get free school lunches?0 -
Also make sure you have enough money for essentials such as milk and loo rolls, before you start spending on "meal foods".
Food bank is a good idea.
Also have you checked whether you could qualify for any benefits? It won't help you in the short term, but may give you a bit of extra help.0 -
Do not panic thats the first thing . How old are your children if you don't mind me asking as in are they at school and get a meal or are they younger. Foodbank is a good idea if its a trussell trust one then you need to get referred by someone like a teacher/learning support worker or housing advice officer or other frontline person but they can advise you if you phone them and in dire extremis should be able to help pinpoint you to a voucher holder or agree on the phone to raise a voucher for a one off .They have a website where you would be able to check if theres one near you other foodbanks work in a different way so you could ring them and explain. Trussel trust foodbanks work on three vouchers per crisis so you could potentially get more than one lot of food from them over a couple of weeks
You would be amazed with what you can do with pasta so that would be a starting point for me and if you get a chance to get to a supermarket near the end of the day you might do really well with yellow stickered items There is a recipe with pasta n sauce blow maybe you could adapt?

Really sorry to hear about your trouble - try not to panic, you will get through it.
Hopefully the local food bank might be able to help, but otherwise as others have said if you if you are careful about how you spend you £13 you will be able to stretch what you have.
Have you checked your club card/nectar card for any points lurking to supplement your cash. Do you know anyone with apple trees/ allotment who might give you some produce. Have you any family that could help ?0 -
Really sorry to hear you're in a tight spot Butane, but don't panic and focus on the short time frame. Also - def. call the food banks as you'll def. be able to get some bits if you've lost your home. xx
I'd say make a list of essentials and things that will stretch your current supplies and where to go to get them as cheaply as possible.
Loo rolls, bread, milk, eggs, cheese, tinned toms/cheapest tom pasta sauce, cheapest beans, spuds, cheapest pasta, bag of cheapest oats, milk. (do-able for your budget) will make you lots of options...
toast/oats made with water for breakfast...sandwiches, cheese/beans/egg/your tinned spag. on toast, pasta and sauce for lunches...and by adding your chicken to your pasta sauces/curry/tinned toms and any pasta you buy you can make lots of warming dinners...if you do get spuds you can have jackets too.
Make sure you stretch everything...shake each jar of sauce "clean" with a splash of water, make the chicken, mince and fish stretch out in the sauces to make 2 or 3 meals with some bread and butter on the side.
We've had patches of really tight food budgeting throughout our years together and although it's really hard at the time it is amazing what you can do when you have to. The good news is that you do already have quite a bit of tasty food that can be stretched out easily with some cheap additions...and you've only got 8 days (including today) to get through until your paid.
Good luck. xx0 -

or any tips on how can i make some extra money i dont have anything to sell as i was selling bits to help the moving costs etc- Fish and wedges
- Chicken Korma
- Cheese and Broccoli pasta bake add broccoli florets to bulk it out
- Make a Spag Bol using the mince and tomatoes
- Use the chicken with the tomato and bacon bake and put in the oven with sliced potatoes on top
- Pizza use for lunches
They also have Butchers choice sausages 99p for eight and you could easily get two meals out of one pack, by cutting each sausage into three.
So you could have a nice toad in the hole for Sunday
cut 4 sausages into three and scatter thinly sliced onions over the top and pour over the batter, serve with super six cauliflower.
The remaining sausages can then be used in a sausage crumble- sliced into three as before with diced parsnips, carrots and leeks in a white sauce or you could use one of the pasta bake sauces and top with a hm crumble topping.
Make a nice roasted parsnip soup and have a pudding with it as a midweek meal or as it is known in this house as "soup and pudding night" serve with hot buttered toast
I would make a rice pud to follow because it is warming and filling
Have you got any cards with money on them such as nectar?Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
