Hi :hello:
I have just done a big shop so we are very well stocked this week. Now to try and make it last the month
Sunday-Spicy mince tacos with spicy wedges
Monday-Gammon with broccoli and cauliflower cheese
Tuesday-Fish, chips and peas
Wednesday-Corned beef hash
Thursday-LO gammon stir fry with spring rolls
Friday-Pizza and garlic dough balls
Saturday-Cheese burgers with salad, I'll make cheese topped buns for them.
There should still be enough gammon left to make a quiche with during the week. The bone from it will make a big pan of ham and pea soup. That will do 3 days lunches. I'll make some cheese and onion pasties for 2 days and 2 days will be egg mayo or corned beef sandwiches.
Breakfasts will be toast and a piece of fruit or fruit with porridge if it is cold.
Snacks will be crisps, I don't normally buy these but MrT sent me a voucher to get a free multipack
There is plenty fruit and nuts in and we have biscuits as well.
Have a frugal week :j

I always start my planning by looking in the fridge, what ever needs used first gives me the idea of what to cook.
Today I have mushrooms and some peppers that are looking like they might grow legs if they aren't used so that is why I'm making spicy mince tacos instead of a Sunday dinner.

I usually plan Sat-Fri but this month we've tried a month-long plan to make sure we empty the freezers a bit.
Mon: Leftover roast...beef, mushroom gravy, roasties, yorkies & veg.
Tue: Last of the beef made into pulled BBQ beef rolls, BBQ beans (well, just cheap beans and a glug of BBQ sauce) & salad.
Wed: King prawns, lots of garlic & marinara sauce/pasta.
Thurs: HM chicken goujons, hm oven chips, beans & bread and butter.
Fri: Hubby's out so ds and I will enjoy omelettes/grilled cheese toasties & tom soup/cheesy beans on toast or something else simple and tasty to end the week.
Sat: Roast chicken made into enchiladas with refried beans, cheese, sour cream and salsa.
Sun: Leftover chicken in taco shells with black beans, lettuce, and leftovers from Sat.
With the beef made it's a blissfully easy week that has my favourites (roast of any sort), hubby's favs (Mex or BBQ of any sort...he's from Texas) and ds's favs (food of any sort :rotfl: )0 -
I often write myself a meal plan but I don't think I've ever managed to stick to it for a whole week. I thought I'd see if posting it here makes a difference.
Mon: DH - Steak (discovered under something else in the fridge - it was supposed to go in the freezer), Me - L/O veggie casserole. Both: new potatoes, cauliflower cheese, veg.
Tue: Cauliflower cheese jackets (L/O cauli-cheese mashed with the flesh of two baked potatoes, piled back in, topped with grated cheddar and popped back in the oven) with salad.
Wed: DH - Sausages in onion gravy, Me - something ready made from the freezer. Both: mash and veg.
Thu: Roasted vegetable quiche, gnocci with mushroom, spinach and mascarpone sauce, salad.
Fri: DH - griddled lamb cutlets, Me - L/O quiche. Both: roast new potatoes and veg.
Sat: Logburner baked brie and dips with breadsticks.
Sun: DH - casseroled lamb shank, Me - veggie roast (from the freezer). Both: mash and veg.Avoiding plastic, palm oil and Nestlé0
