National Car hire - accused of being involved in an "accident"
Comments
-
There's no chance of it affecting the no claims bonus on your regular car insurance policy, as you couldn't make a claim for it on that policy, even if you wanted to.Or even worse that my own no claims bonus (12 years) will be affected.
However if you did have an accident in a hire car that would be something you'd have to declare when applying for or renewing car insurance generally - you'll be asked "have you had any accidents in the last 3 (or 5) years?". If you insist that you didn't have an accident but the hire company record you as having had one then things potentially get a bit messy when you have to answer that question - what's true is sometimes less important than what you can prove to be true, or what the record says.0 -
