Advice needed for anyone that travels to Marylebone on the Chiltern Line

My nan needs to go to a hosp appointment near Marylebone. Unfortunately its at 9am,
She lives in Wembley so as far as I can see the best way is to go from Wembley Stadium Station to Marylebone but it will be at about 7/8ish and as its the last stop before Marylebone I am worried that it will be too busy for her.

Does anyone travel on it?

It will be busy but what about booking assistance for her? http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations_destinations/disabled_passengers.aspx
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more
  • Have you thought about using the number 18 bus instead?

Hi Thank you, she has now made the journey and it went well. It was busy but not rammed and she was able to get a seat.

She took the no 18 before when she first went on her own, it took an hour though during the day. So we were worried how bad it would be at 9am.

It was really quick, took 1/2hr total to get to Wembley station, take the train and then walk to the hosp.

A good idea in theory, but one with two fairly major flaws:
    1. Wembley Stadium station is unstaffed, except when a major event is taking place.
    2. Booking assistance does not guarantee a seat, nor will it make one magically appear on a train that is already full!
Having said that, Chiltern are usually fairly good at matching capacity to demand.
