Stopping dog licking stiches

My little girl is going in for her op on Wednesday now I know she will have a buster collar on to stop her getting at her stiches but how do I stop my other dog getting at them, I know for a fact all he will want to do is lick them I have looked at t-shirt's for dogs to try to cover them up but my little girl is long and skinny so I think they will still leave the stiches exposed. I will be keeping an eye on them both to try to make sure they don't touch the stiches but can't do it 24/7 any ideas greatly received.

You could put a men's t-shirt on her, tightened (away from the wound) with a hair band or elastic band. Is she crate-trained at all? She'll be a little woozy from the anaesthetic and op anyway, so if she settles in a crate, it's one way to keep her from being pestered (and to encourage her to rest)0

I crated my dogs, after castration ops, as it also meant they had rest. They are used to crates, so this was not stressful.0

She doesn't mind her crate but won't stay in it all day. She is still only young and rest will definitely not be on her agenda the problem
Is she is so close to the other dog.0 -
I crated mine overnight (and slept downstairs to keep a check) and while I had to nip out, go to the bathroom or attend to something like cooking. Otherwise they were loose, but on a long lead.0

we used a babies vest with the poppers on. You can get large ones and they are quite long. xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Look at equafleece - they may do something if not you can ring them with your dogs measurements and they will advise which one you need.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

We used a child's swimming costume for our fully grown springer spaniel, with a hole cut in it for his tail. The photos are amusing it was a tatty teddy one.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0
