I am planning on buying a new battery for a Jeep Commander, I have my on Bosch S5 019 (5 year warranty) from carparts4less with a 15% off bringing it at £96.

Any other batteries I should be considering or other places to buy?

  • Seems a good price.
    I've always used Bosch S/silver batteries :)

Have you had a look on the euro car parts website?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Varta Silver series...i'm not convinced Bosch are as durable as they used to be.

    Try batterymegastore.co.uk

we had a recent thread about them here, OP was anti but if you find and read the thread all should become clear, i'm a satisfied customer with no company affiliation.

Consider Yuasa also, OE fitment on Landcruisers when i had one, lasted donkeys years and never completely failed just got a bit slower turning over.

Do you have a Costco near you? IIRC the batteries were Bosch Silvers too.

Thanks all, I have had a look at the Euro Parts site and since they are the same company as carparts4less you just have to find which has the best deal at the time.

I will look at the Varta and Yuasa. The Bannner Bull looks relatively expensive and I know nothing about the make.

    No Costc near me, unfortunately.

I think they are exactly the same with Varta making the batteries and rebranding some of them for Bosch.

Always worth double checking, but they are run by the same company.

Carparts4less are always cheap, but ECP usually have a "sale" or "offer" that makes the end price the same.

Occasionally the odd item slips through the net and is cheaper at one than the other.

Used to work in a motorfactors and sold these regular although costly, they are a sealed battery, you can mount them upside down on their side where ever you want.
