It's for me & my wife, just for 1 day, probably during October 6 ... any chance to get cheap tickets there? If so what would be the best way doing it? Can you redeem miles, any website for cheap tickets etc.?

Disney don't discount one day tickets and in fact they don't make it easy for you to buy them either here in the UK. Their preference is to sell the 7 or 14 tickets. Even the difference between those two durations can be as little as GBP10 at times.
For just one day entry you will likely need to buy at the gate.0
