Credit Cards run up and only me knows it.....

At the start of the year I had 4 credit cards, my OH knows two of them but not that there is a balance on either. Aswell as those 2 cards I had another 2 opened by me, I have since paid one off in the 0% free period value £1500. One the other 3 the balances amount to around £8k, now one of them I'm not too bothered about initially but the other 2 I want to pay off before OH finds out....they both have balances of around 2700 each....one is 0% and the other was 6% LoB on a balance transfer. I pay £100 to all 3 cards a month plus the one I'm not too fussed about is used for Oh work expenses which are claimed back and paid off as soon as they hit the bank. I am not working at the moment and have basically used these 2 cards to carry on living as tho I was. I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm trying to clear these and have cleared one this year worth 1.5k....any ideas what to do to clear the other 2 off without the OH finding out?

Yes and I've been paying more on them too and decreasing the limits every couple of months too so they can't be used....

Are you looking for a new job, or currently unable to work/mat leave or whatever?

Have you tried doing any of the DFW challenges?

Is there much chance of the OH finding out? Would it be a major problem if they did find out if you are committed to paying it off.

I know you don't want to hear this, but it would be better if you can discuss this with your OH. Yes you were foolish to run up the cards, yes you should have told OH earlier but now you have a "good story" to tell about how your situation is improving.

It's really hard to clear debts fast if your other half doesn't know about them.
