sky tv, broadband and phone

I was an ex O2 customer that migrated to sky last year
I had sky tv Broadband and home phone (contract about to expire)

I have just cancelled my sky tv simply because it is not used

I have been told that the cost of my broadband (unlimited)
and home phone(anytime) will be

£20-64 per month ( no longer on a 12 month contract)

is this a good deal or is there something better???

spoke to a fellow named Chris who was great to talk to.

What about your line rental? If that is included, you've done very well.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I, too , have cancelled the tv and was offered £20.40 (with no extra £2.50, as it's allowed for) as the 'best possible' offer. I wanted free line rental, as some have been offered, so I'm still looking around.

I was so disappointed at the deal, that I didn't ask about contract, but it may be worth taking until something better turns up elsewhere.

Tesco seemed a good option for me, but I found that new customers can't have line rental saver, making their deal far less attractive. PlusNet would have been good, had the £150 cashback offer not dropped to £35.35.

    Looks like a good deal
    Line rental is £15 something
    Unlimited BB is £7.50
    Anytime talk is £5

so effectively you are getting the BB for free
how long is the deal for ?

We were discussing phone/bb notice and 10 working days or two weeks were mentioned, so which is correct ?

You misunderstand my post, which was comparing 10 working days or 2 weeks (of course I know they are the same !), to the quotation from a post by 'abr' ie they were asked for 21 days' notice.

This is what I have just accepted from sky after spending quite a while on chat

    12 months Free line rental.
    Broadband unlimited £10
    Sky talk anytime £5

so £15 per month for 12 months

Think thats as good as can be expected with out going into swapping ISP
