Regarding the extended warranty, does it not make more sense to put the money you were going to pay for the warranty towards a year newer car still under manufacturers warranty?

I'd seriously be looking at the Ecoboosts too, add up the savings on road tax (VED) and the depreciation and I imagine the difference to be very little.
