£8,500 hence they do add vat on top....... So I said that as a rough estimate not literally

Why would they advertise a pre-VAT price? It's not a commercial vehicle.
  • CAP retail price is £8765 so despite what others say it's being sold for a fair price in my opinion.

By the way you don't pay VAT on used cars so you should get it for the online advertised price. I personally would go for GAP aslong as thy're not charging over the odds for it. Around £300 should get you GAP cover for four years.

CAP is only a guide though the same as any of the others.

Try selling some vehicles at their guide price and you will have to start a museum. Some cars sell for less than their guide prices.
On the other hand some cars sell for more also. A new model may come out with a feature thats not liked. The boot lip maybe higher or the boot is smaller etc. So buyers may prefer the older model to teh facelift pushing prices up slightly.

I prefer the look of the pre-facelift. The new one looks like a strange Fiat Punto.
  • I wouldn't bother taking any optional extras including warranty for a car like the Fiesta. Not worth it.
  • I think people should be willing to travel anywhere in the country (within reason...) to get the right car at the right price.

OP, how do you fancy a trip to Rotheram for this one>

For a grand more (you could get them to knock off £500 I guess) you could have a younger car with less mileage and NO TAX. That price seems too good to be true though...?

I thought it was maybe me getting older. But i look at a lot of the facelift cars from various manufacturers and think why on earth have they done that. Its UGLY....

Big vents and grills making them look like some sort of deformed mutant fish.

I hope you get what you want OP, but there are thousands of better cars out there for that money. I particularly liked, "Hot Magenta Pearlescent", the colour when you buy it, dull embassy red when you want to trade it in.

Why is the warranty not worth it??
