Be aware when getting one off these mobile phones and others from Tesco. The Tesco network does not support the phones delivery report system so you don't know if your message has been delivered.I have took mine back and cancelled the contract because of the lack of this facility and when I spoke to their customer services about not informing me of this I was told its against sales policy?.So if you want one of these phones and want the delivery report facility get one from another provider whose network supports this facility.NOT TESCO.:mad:

They're on o2's network. O2 stopped delivery reports years ago.

So you won't get delivery reports on tesco/giff gaff/O2.

Did you ask at the time of taking out the contract if the service was available? Did the sales advisor tell you it was available?

You can have it on other networks..but they charge you for it.
Next time, maybe do a bit of research before buying?

I'm on Tesco PAYG and just put *0# at the start of a text and that gives a delivery report.

I have it on my network and have not been charged a penny for it.

Three charge for it, 1.2p per text if I recall.

What's the use of delivery reports? It doesn't mean the text is read?

Exactly, and if you don't get one it doesn't necessarily mean that the text wasn't delivered. (They are low priority and will be dropped if the network is busy and they don't work well cross network or when roaming)

All in all, they have curiosity value only.

(On some networks you can get an MMS read report which is more reliable)

Reminds me of the days when you would ring someone up and ask 'did you get my email?'
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
