Transfer overseas company pension to uk SIPP

my brother has been in Australia for 30 years and has an accrued pension with company.

he is probably returning to uk, but cannot get any sense about how to transfer his pension to uk provider - or even if it is possible. He is 56.

i asked my pension provider who told me they cannot accept transfer (ino SIPP). They are aware that there are providers who will take the pension, but they are "unable to lead me to them"

does anyone have any idea who these providers may be, so i can request information?

Any comments received gratefully,

thank you

David

Is it a defined benefit pension? Not that I know anything of Australian pensions but has he considered keeping it in Australia and just having it paid into a UK bank account?

That would stop him losing any protections and guarentees (if there are any)
