Any catch to the Ford finance offer?
Hi,
We're looking to buy a new Fiesta, probably from somewhere like Drive the Deal, and Ford have an offer on currently whereby if you take out finance on the car, you get £750 off the price. The dealer today said that you only need to take out £2500 of finance, and that you can pay it off within 28 days and essentially get the £750 for only 1 month's worth of interest on the loan, which is ~£9. Is that correct, or is there a hidden catch somewhere?

My dealer (Evans Halshaw) also highlighted the same deal to me. Seemed like a no-brainer as you only had to take out a small sum of their finance to reap the deal. I admit I haven't signed up to it, but would be great to hear if you go through with it whether it is straight forward to pay off.0

I did this with a new ford focus but 3 years ago and it was simple to pay it off. The offer then was £500 off.0

The only catch is ringing up Ford to settle the finance. You can do this within a few days.0

Thanks for the replies.
So there's no need to wait until the 1st payment is made (a google brings up a few places reporting this step)? Is there anywhere I can find the Ts&Cs online to check for myself?0 -
The thing to do is ring up and cancel the finance within 14 days.0

I'd like to read the terms and conditions first if possible, just to make sure it really is that simple.0
