  • I thought i might another number to your list of CAH claims advice help lines

I had a call today from a company called CAH stating i had been in an accident recently and it could be possible to claim. I told the advisor that i was not prepared to tell them anything over the telephone and that i wanted my name removed from their list. A manager then came on the line saying that he would not remove me from their list and i will continue to get calls from them unless i was to give them more information. I said i would not do that and i asked for where they were based and where he was calling from, he asked why and what difference would it make, he said abruptly well i would continue to get the the calls and i was wasting his time (he called me) at that point i put the phone down. As the number was on my phone i felt compelled to call them back and asked politely to provide their address and after questioning why i said it was just for feedback, after a short silence i was given the Head Office Address below ?

    Hope this helps:)

If you are registered on TPI then complain to them.
    If not, register yourself.

If company keeps calling, warn them they will get whistles down the phone if they ring you again, if they do, blow a whistle down the line until they hang up and repeat until they stop calling

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have had two of these calls in the past three hours from different numbers - have added to the list.

I told them I hadn't had an accident, clearly they don't care about that!

Oh - the temptation to arrange for them to have an "accident"!

Note for those at GCHQ - this is a tongue in cheek comment!
  • I work for this company and to be honest, only more than 3 calls a day is harassment, not a call every day for a week etc...and my advice to you all is the ruder you are, the more often you will be called. We make a fortune in this job, and don't do anything illegal. Fair play to us in these difficult times I say. And by the way that is NOT our head office address. ;)

well if your getting abuse on the phones from your "SO CALLED" customers who you harrass and annoy daily then its your fault your annoying people your spamming phone lines with unwarranted calls and you even continue to do so when your been told that the numbers your calling from is registered with TPS......

"If you are registered with the TPS, and receive a cold call, you can complain to the TPS who will do a first round of investigations and pass the company's details on to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)."

As TPS can authorise large fines for breaches of the rules (£70,000 and £90,000 have been recent ones), I wouldn't boast too much about not breaking the rules when calling TPS registered numbers is doing so.

Also, I have 2 nice whistles for my sport stuff, I will be happy to introduce you to them, or indeed, your employees may find questions about their underwear and sexual behaviour to be offputting :)

I think you are winding us up.

The fact is that an unsolicited call to a TPS registered number IS a criminal offence.

It can be reported to the TPS and to the ICO here.

In three months time, it looks like consumers will also be able to complain to the Legal Ombudsman.
