Hi,

I usually make monthly trip to Sheffield from Reading and I buy off-peak return ticket for £57(with railcard). Yesterday however, I was checking ticket price for a friend from Manchester to Reading and saw that it will cost £50 (with railcard) for off-peak return.
Will it be allowed for me to buy Reading to Manchester return, but only travel as far as Sheffield? or will I be breaking any law and made to pay a fine if I do that?

Thanks in advance
