Tuesday 26th August - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending .

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

  • Hello

Thank you Ziggy and I hope that your mum's appointment goes well, sending you positive vibes.

The weather's very lovely here but I won't have much time for enjoy it unfortunately! Today I am/aim to:

Work hard - am self employed so it's all under my own steam, but want to blitz my to do list and get ahead as we are heading to Oban this weekend :) so I want to go with a clear conscience and not come back to a backlog.

Relist bits for sale. It looks like I have sold £16 worth of things today. I'm doing well :) Since I started what I've made has paid for a £10 breast pump, a £60 cot and I now have a kitty of £38 leftover. Makes me feel like I'm being productive.

Walk the pup, enjoy the weather and free exercise.

Would love to get to swimming pool and use pass but think I will struggle for time, didn't make it yesterday either. Will try.

Tea from the freezer for all of us, plus freeze what's left of the homemade chilli.

Ask husband to clear stuff off spare room bed this week so we can get that listed for sale to make room for the new baby.

Take food out of the freezer for tomorrow's meals. Am emptying it so I can batch cook for when the baby arrives.

Hope you all have a good day x

Not nearly as much as I could have but just ordered a dye for my stained white converse instead of ordering a new pair.

  • Hello all, late one from me today as network was down at work (ALL DAY ) and getting on the laptop at home needs use of a crowbar....

Thinking of you and your Mum Ziggy x

Today I wrote a list of main meals that I can make from what we have got in the fridge/cupborad freezer. Have got 20 (days worth) so far - not bad going. Need just a few more to take us to payday.

Son1 had an interview which seemed to go well - fingers crossed.

Laundry hung inside today but forcast for tomorrow is looking good - may put some in for the sons to hang out tomorrow (preferably using pegs this time).

Keep meaning to find out how Economy 7 works - do you need to register for it? May google that now and see.

Am just about to check lottery ticket. Then will be reading library book with a nice cuppa.

    Best wishes all x
