Parking Eye- Abersoch golf club

Hi

i am new to forums and the world of parking tickets as i am a young driver so i will be brief and would just be grateful for some advice from those more experienced. I have received a charge from parking eye for abersoch gold club beach car park which i parked in for 45mins between 23.00 and 23.45 hours a few weeks ago. i would like to appeal this as i was unaware pay and display was even necessary (first visit) and from my memory believe the signage was not properly illuminated ( would be grateful if someone could confirm this as i was on holiday at the time so cannot check) i have drafted a copy of the template letter from the newbie thread to send to both parking eye and abersoch golf club to appeal. Was just hoping to get some advice as to whethere appealing is a clever idea or if my case is not strong enough.

Am i right in thinking that i can only be 'charged' the mount i should have paid at the time, £60 seems highly unreasonable when i would have only paid £1 at a machine had i known it was pay and display.

Many thanks

Your "case" is dealt with in post one of the Newbies Sticky - it means next to nothing.

Put more or less what you like in your initial appeal/complaint to landowner but once they reject it and you have your POPLA code, you need to couch your real appeal in line with the proven challenges detailed in the Sticky.

So have a good read of the newbie thread (see my signature), put in a first appeal to Parking Eye. This will get rejected. It following onto post 3 and POPLA appeal, you will draft a great version and win. (I am good at predicting these things).

Also Search the forum for Abersoch as I am sure I have seen other appeals for this very car park.
Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.

cp - go back up to this heading:
    Home » Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking ...

    -just below all the topics.

Next drop your mouse to just below NEW THREAD, then go along all the way to the right. Write 'abersoch' in the Forum Search box et voilà, plenty of posts.
