You don't have to be an expert to find out information on a subject and make up your own mind!
Of all the lame excuses the "global warming" brigade have come out with, this has got to be the lowest!
No, I'm not suggesting that. What I'm saying is we're talking about something that 'the experts' disagree on. So how can a non-expert expect to?
Regarding your silly insult, which is a shame you've brought onto a sensible debate, this applies to both sides. Most people don't understand much about global warming, irrespective of whether we're talking about man-made or solar-influenced (and I don't claim to either).Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

In that case, I'm sorry, I thought you were.Regarding your silly insult, which is a shame you've brought onto a sensible debate, this applies to both sides.
It wasn't a silly insult, your posts suggested to me that you were saying that anyone, who wasn't an expert and did not believe in global warm did not matter as they couldn't possibly understand"
I pointed out that you don't have to be an expert to understand, or have a belief or opinion. My insult, as you call it, was simply saying that using "you're not an expert, therefore cannot possible understand" as an argument against those who do not believe in global warming was the lowest reason I have ever heard. Most people don't understand much about global warming, irrespective of whether we're talking about man-made or solar-influenced (and I don't claim to either).
I agree, but we can all find information, if we look, and don't have to believe what the loudest shouters tell us.0 -

The trouble is that people don't look for the information - and wouldn't understand the implications of that information if they found it(and that very much includes myself)
However the Green Hysteria has gripped the Western world and has become like a religion; with the usual idiotic zealots.

I've just been on the act on co2 web site. Was looking for something else, but ended up there.
Anyway, since I was there I tried the "calculate your carbon footprint" feature. As what I was looking for was how much co2 we produce.
I entered all my details and at the end it said my heating was producing 1.45 tons of CO2 per year. I need to get the man out to see to it, because to the best of my knowledge I have never used it in the ten years I have lived in Dorset.
I was born, and lived for 38 years in the north east, but down here in Dorset it never gets cold enough to put the heating on. A jumper, or fleece top in the winter is more than enough for me.
In the 10 years I have lived in Dorset I have never seen a fire in anyone's home. Central heating yes, but never a fire of any description. Although I'm sure there must be someone in Dorset with a fire.
The point is, I never use my heating yet some web site claims it produces 1.45 tons of CO2. How can they say how much CO2 we produce when they clearly don't know?
Don't tell me they calculate the average, because if they don't know to start with they can't calculate the average.0 -

You've lost me there. What can't they calculate the average of the people they DO know?Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world
