Hey People
I am in debt and dont know what i can do to help myself I have water mobile phone & bank debt all in the region of £500 i know this is not a huge about but its worrying me to the point that its affecting my mood and already bad depression a few months ago i posted on here about my bank debt and i had some lovely people talk and try to help me. but I have burried my head in the sand and hoped that it would all go away but it hasn't its just got worse like these things do. I took the first step in helping myself i went to a cab local office and spoke to a debt adviser who gave me a money advice trust booklet and told me fill in a budget sheet and go from there and send it to my creditors. I work part time and dont get alot of money after paying my rent council tax and other bills But i just want these debts to go away so i can rebuild my not so great credit file (if i can rebuild it
) any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated. I am getting alot of letters from a Dca called intercred who are on behalf of affinity water who i am in debt with needless to say its causing me alot of stress and worrie sorry for my long post thank you

Have you followed the advice you were given at CAB? The debts won't just go away I am afraid. Take a look at the National Debtline website to see what your options are - but the first step in all cases is to complete a budget sheet so that you can see what you have left after you have paid for your basic living costs.0

Working out a budget is the first steps after sharing on here! You will find loads of great challenges to do with making and saving money on here as well. A lot of folks complete a SOA and share to that others can advise, and also heres the link to Martin's great thread and then a link to the main website advice!

Well done on posting, that is the first hurdle.
Plenty of support on here, I did not know where to turn at first. Many helpful people on here and that is what makes a huge difference. Look at my Signature, I was in a right Mare!
If you ever get down, look at the size of other peoples debts, can be a great motivator. If they can do it- so can you!
Good luck(Debt Jan 2014 LBM £34,000) Current 2016 "Problems" as follows:
C Cards 1,2,3,4 WAS £18,333 NOW£0 :j...Overdraft WAS £2700 NOW£0 :j

Seriously...the minute you take the first proactive step towards clearing these balances you will feel a million times better!
The CAB will help plus, please don't underestimate the support of this forum...when you're feeling low...pop in and have a chat. You will find soon enough that you will be helping others who are experiencing a situation that you have handled!
Good Luck!0
