Tiscali talk - Problems with them connecting me!

I have Tiscali Broadband and have had it for the last 3 years or so. I rang Tiscali approximately 4 weeks ago asking for my package to be upgraded to include Tiscali Talk for the same price of £14.99 which is what i'm paying now for my Broadband and to include free weekend calls. I was originally with BT but until line rental with Tiscali is free in my area, I am sticking with BT just for line rental of £10.50 and thought I would change my calls to Tiscali.
After ringing Tiscali about 2 weeks ago because I did not hear anything from them, and despite all my details being taken when I initially made the call to them, they said they haven't upgraded me! After ranting and raving saying I have had to use my mobile to make outgoing calls as I am no longer with BT either, someone said they would call me back to sort my package out. To this day have not had one phone call and I am just relying on my mobile (albeit calls are free but this is not the point!)
Sorry for the long post but has anyone else had any problems like this?

If you did not move your line rental from BT you should still be able to use BT by using the 1280 override access number.
Suggest you ask BT to take your calls back, and follow the advice here.
