Is there anywhere that does degree correspondence courses apart from the OU?

I'm looking to do a degree course by correspondence but the OU don't offer the kind of things I am looking for. Are there any other companies like the OU which offer degree study and can arrange financial support? I'm looking for something in the Travel and Tourism or leisure field.

Many universities now do degrees by distance learning, I did mine in Law at Nottingham Trent.

Well I've just spent 2 hours looking and there doesn't seem to be anything that fits the bill.
The closest the OU do are Human Geography or International Studies.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
I'm pretty sure Liverpool University do them.

This is the only place I could find which did a tourism related first degree by distance learning:

There doesn't seem to be many good sources of information about distance learning courses- if you haven't tried it already it might be worth searching UCAS and finding places which do the course you want full-time and then checking their websites to see if they offer distance learning courses as well.0 -
LSE's external courses were recommended to me in a recent thread. I don't know if they offer what you're looking for though.0

Have you contacted Bournemouth University? They do a number of leisure courses.
Hubby (lecturer) suggests getting in touch directly with Unis you're interested in and finding out about courses, as the information's not always available on websites. You never know, a lecturer may be prepared to arrange something for you if you can attend now and again. If you don't ask, you don't get!
Hope you find something.0 -
I don't know how I missed the fact that my local college which is 15 minutes walk from me does a degree in Event Management with Tourism. I'm going for an interview next week. They have only just started doing degree's and I didn't realise this was one of the subjects they do.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
