Will the rate fluctuate at all or should I just go out and get the euros now to stop me rushing later?

Blimey - if only we knew...
Unless you're planning on getting thousands, I wouldn't worry too much. Has been moving around the 1.25/1.26 mark for a while now - doesn't mean it can't shoot up or down, but more likely you'll gain or lose a euro per hundred quid.
Tip - once you've bought them, stick fingers in ears and avoid looking at exchange rates...0 -

to get the best rate!
I usually get mine the day before I go. I am lucky as I have two banks, a Co-Op travel, M&S and Tesco all nearby so I can shop around. I often find that taking Sterling and changing it in country gets me a better rate.0 -
Get Euros out of foreign cashpoints, not here! Get a decent card like the Clarity, Metrobank etc, see the guide on the main site.
I've just got back from a couple of weeks in Euroland and checked my cash withdrawals - average rate was 1.259. Try getting that on the UK high street!0 -
