I am doing up my sitting room in old house so looking for old style more traditional wallpapers and would welcome suggestions for names of companies that have these styles?

Do you mean you're looking for period style wallpaper?
If so, you could try The Little Greene Paint Company or Laura Ashley? Wallpaper direct seem to have a huge range of brands...0 -
For really traditional try Sanderson. They've been doing wallpaper since 1860.0

The Dulux trade centres which are open to the public have hundreds of wallpaper books covering every style and type..................
