Windsor Castle ticket combos

Just a quick bit of advice please.
I have 1 adult and 4 kids wanting to visit the Windsor Castle. The cost issue is that 1 adult and 4 kids makes the total £66, whereas 2 adults and 3 kids get a family ticket for £48.
As there will still be five bodies entering the castle, do you think they would care less about this? Has anyone done it to get a cheaper entry price? I cannot find anything on their website to suggest either way.
Thanks.

As an own reply to this, in case this comes up for someone else, I took the kids today. The ticket office did allow me to pay for the family tickets of 2 adults and 3 kids at £48, although I was under the impression that the ticket clerk was newish and didn't know that I could have the family ticket but the supervisor standing over her said that it wasn't a problem at all but to let them know if I had them stamped for re-entry why I had an adult ticket for a child, so it was obviously something that they will allow to happen.0
