Turfing garden

I need to lay new turf in my garden, the area I'm turfing is approx 15m long x 9m wide. The soil level is pretty high to the level of the patio but will I need to add topsoil onto it, or is it just to bring up the level if you need to?

If level then no need to add any topsoil, warning though please do not think about laying any turf in this weather you will need to water it every day for at least two hours or more plus you would not be able to walk on it,

From someone who's family have been in the turfing business for over 40 years.
