Moving kitchen in purpose built flat

Good Evening Everyone!
Now this probably sounds like a silly question but I really don't know the answer.
Is it possible to move the kitchen to a different room in a purpose built flat? I was just thinking the plumbing etc may make it impossible.
I'm stuck in a 1 bedroom flat and have lost my room to my son so I now sleep on the sofa, which is not ideal. I figured I could make a small bedroom out of the kitchen and have the kitchen/living area open plan (well even more open plan than it is now! Ha Ha.
I also have the question of whether I'm allowed to with my lease but one step at a time I think.
Thanks all

I'm hoping there'll be some builders/plumbers/electricians on here who may be able to help. Hi
I was thinking of doing the same at a friends house, she had huge living space and seperate kitchen in her flat, but she couldnt visualize it, even with me marking the floor and walls out for her.
Main problem is the lease, it probably prohibits, i=or would need permission for alterations to any structure and drainage pipework. The freeholder may give the OK, but also may ask a fee.
You could also run the idea past Building Control at Council for their opinion.
Has any other flat in the building done any change arounds - it would help to see outcome, if they have.

Thanks. I haven't heard of anyone doing the same sadly, as I am having trouble visualizing it too and would love to see someone else who has done it.
If it can be done obviously I'd have to approach them about permission etc. Just don't want to look silly asking them if it can't even be done.
If you don't mind me asking, are you in the building trade?

No I'm not a builder, but have done 3 refurbs to live in, (using skilled trades people to do their bit).
But i still need to ask what might appear to be easy or silly questions, thats why the forums here, so dont worry about it.
If you were thinking of moving existing units, rather than buying new, that might not work too well, depending on the quality and how they are fitted. Sometimes it will come out ok, other times it might just fall to bits.
What you could do, to get an idea how it would look, is use the on line kitchen planner on Ikea website. You can create a good idea of how it would look, in 3D and move things around to see what might work for you. It doesnt cost anything and is a bit clunky, but worth a thought.

Thank you.
Using existing units would be the ideal situation although the idea I have in my head would require some new ones. But whatever happens it'll have to be done either way I think. I just can't see how I can carry on living here otherwise but there's no hope of me moving.
More concerned about how everything would be plumbed really.
Anyone know if I'd have to pay for someone to come and assess it for me?DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0
