transforming potting shed

i have a potting shed that looks a bit like this http://www.leisurebuildings.com/acatalog/apex-solar-potting-garden-sheds-large.jpg [but a bit smaller]
i have used it as a potting shed for a few years but after an infuriating time with seedlings being eaten in my garden and not having the time to start from scratch any more i have decided to do something with it as it is a bit unused
it is is good nick, has carpet down already so it is warm in winter, but there are no services to it
does anyone have any ideas on what i could turn it in to? i was thinking a den, of sorts, but i am no designer!:D

I hardly think that having a bit of carpet down in an uninsulated, thin walled shed is going to make it warm in winter. if you want to use it seriously, then it will need lining with insulation of some kind and have some form of heating installed.
You picture shows a shed with a single glazed roof, so it is even more unlikely to be any use as a den in the winter. Sell it and get something more suitable for the change of use you are proposing.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Gym, children's playroom, home office, a summer-house for just relaxing in ?
Depends what you're after really. If you need power running out to it, that's not a particularly difficult or expensive job.0 -
I wouldn't go and sit in a shed when I've a perfectly good house full of services right next to it!
Houses are for services/relaxing, sheds are for putting stuff in and shutting the door.
What do you think can be gained from sitting in a shed, that sitting on your sofa can't offer you?0 -
trust me, it is warm in winter. at least, it is for me. i sit in an unheated room in the house in winter as i am always warm.
thanks Ebe Scrooge. i was thinking it would be difficult to get electricity to it ... i might ask an electrician for a quote
PasturesNew, if you think that then that is fine by me. i was thinking a den for kids or a hobbies room. the shed will still be here when i move.0 -
You could always go the stone cottage way.....0
