Cracks in plaster in end of terrace house on an incline!!

Hi All,
There is a DIY problem in this house I am looking at buying but I’m not sure how serious it is.
It’s a 3 bed Victorian end of terrace (4 in the terrace) on a very steep slope (think San Francisco steep!) which our house is at the bottom of. There are no obvious issues with the gable wall (doesn’t appear to have been pointed recently to cover anything up) but there are 50-75cm long cracks in the plaster of the two larger bedrooms – a few in each of these rooms – over and above the windows, over the door frames, also appearing from the floor (possibly above a lower floor window which I forgot to check). None of these cracks looked more than a couple of ml wide, certainly not more than 5ml. Is this amount of movement normal/nothing to be concerned about? I know I would find out what I need to know by doing a structural survey but I’d rather get an idea of what someone experienced would think before paying out.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this,
Adrian
