closed joint claim ex won't renew what will happen?!

in January I closed our joint claim when he moved out and made a single one
I have had 2 renewal letters - I renewed on the day I received them online in June but I'm worries as I still haven't heard anything
my ex has not renewed (don't know for definite if he's even had a letter) and will not as he always burries his head in the sand
but what will happen if he doesn't and he needed to? I don't want to have to repay ££££ because of him

They will finalise his part on the information they hold about him. It could of course be changed later if they find out he didn't declare income correctly and he could face a penalty for failing to reply.

as long as he gets in trouble and not me I don't care I gave them his address when I closed the claim but he's moved since then and left it for him to tell them. I refuse to clean up after him anymore
I just didn't know if this was why it was taking so long for me to get my renewals back as there usually quite quick and it's been way over a month now0
