Hannah's spending/debt free diary (to keep myself accountable!)

My starting 'stats':
£5,200 on 3 credit cards
£1000 saved for honeymoon spending money
£4000 saved for house deposit
I checked my bank balance and I only have £88 to live off until the 27th (eek!). I have cut up two of my cards and am going to cut up the third and close it as it is debt free now. Normally I'd just start using my credit card as my current account is low, but from now on it's going to be scrimping and saving all the way! Out of the £88, I need to spend £25.60 on train fare and £25 on a weekly food shop; leaving me with £37.40 free cash. I'm going to try not to spend any of this until the weekend. That's my first little goal! So far I haven't spent anything, I brought lunch with me to work and I have food at home for dinner.
Sorry if this is boring to read! I just find writing it all down motivates me and makes me more accountable to myself.

Beanielou - I will do a SOA when I get to a computer! Thanks
So yesterday I didn't spend anything and today is looking good too. I checked my credit card statements and theres a little less on there than I thought - £5137 and I will be returning something for £55. I have got £80s worth of river island stuff I could still return but I cut through the chip on the card not sure if they'll return it to a different card in my name? Anyway, feeling positive and already less stressed about it all. I'm also trying to lose a stone before my wedding, so watching what I eat and what I spend is a bit of a head fxck! But anything worth having is worth working for so gotta keep going and not dwell on the negatives.0
