Sissi, Crete...courtesy coach or taxi?

Eight of us (6 adults and 2 children) are going to Sissi in Crete on 8th August with Thomas Cook.

When we land we are supposed to be taking the courtesy bus to the resort but I'm led to believe this can take three hours as the bus stops at many resorts.

Would a taxi be quicker and are the taxi prices reasonable from the airport in Crete?

Thanks.

  • I doubt you'd pick up a taxi from the rank for 8. Take a look at https://www.suntransfers.com , it contain the answers to both questions.

it is a slog (have just come back). However it is hit and miss. Going we had about a 2 and a half hour transfer, however on the return it waonly about 45 minutes ( same company, in fact probably the same bus.

I would just go with the bus. Its paid for, in the day you will see the views, at night there will be limited number of taxis ( especially 8 seaters).
