I just wanted to tell you about my experience with Goody Hiar products.
I bought them from my loca As*a.
I have -just touching shoulder- length hair and it's thick and wavy. It is as wide as it is long, a real Crystaltips job if anyone is old enough to remember the cartoon character!
I wear it up most of the time to avoid the witchy/wide load look.
I bought the two pronged hair fork for £3.50 it's pretty good , a little uncomfortable at times though. You push it up and then flip it over and push down.not bad, I was quite pleased overall.

Then I decided to try the other product, same price. You get two double helix metal pins. AMAZING! I have a lovely french twist with curls at the top all held in very securely by these two pins.
They are completely hidden and I cannot feel them.

They are very well worth the money. Lots of Yourube advice on using them too, but it's simple. They away they do the job of twenty hair clips, not too much of an exaggeration!

Let us know what you think if you decide to give them a go.
I bet my mop is more unruly than yours!

From reading your thread Oystercarcher, I think we have very similar ahir but mine is a good bit shorter.
I have to buy a new pair as my daughter is home for the weekend and she has taken a liking to them!

Have just bought 10 off ebay for £1.80 from China so will see.
  • I have no idea how to use these, do you need to have a flair for hair? If so I am out from the get go. I use the old claw type but it needs tons of lacquer to secure it.

No! If only! You simply need to be able to push the ends into your hair at an angle and screw the thing in like you would with an ordinary hardware shop screw. They seem to remain hidden I my hair.
    One up , one downwards.
    Y tube have demos.

i've just ordered some of these for my daughter - she has long thick curly hair and spends ages (and loads of pins) putting it in a messy bun. Sounds like these could be just the job for her :).
